Collect Art

Each piece is an invitation to bring a sense of quiet, depth, and place into your space.

Original paintings, limited edition prints, and commissioned works are all created with the same intention—to capture something enduring beneath the surface. Whether you are drawn to a specific work or looking to develop a piece that reflects your own connection to the water, each acquisition is meant to be experienced over time.

Often mistaken for photography at a distance, the work reveals itself through close observation — where detail, atmosphere, and surface come forward through the process of painting.

Explore available works, collect a limited edition, or begin a conversation about a commissioned painting.

Original works are held in private collections across the United States.

Limited edition prints offer a way to collect the work in a format that preserves the integrity of the original painting. Each edition is produced in a fixed run and is never reproduced once fully collected.

About the Artist

David Neal McPhee - Painting Where Land Meets Sea

I'm an award-winning watercolor artist based in Melbourne, Florida, and a member of the American Watercolor Society, Florida Watercolor Society, North American Watercolor Society, and Brevard Watercolor Society.

In 2007, after two Army tours in Iraq and seven years in Afghanistan working alongside USAID, I picked up a brush to process what I'd been through. I started gifting the paintings to friends and family. By 2013 I'd opened an Etsy shop under the name Little River Artworks — the start of what's now grown into a full body of work built around the water that raised me.

I grew up lobstering on the Maine coast, and it still shapes everything I paint — the boats, the gear, the working waterfront. Every piece is watercolor, painted on canvas, paper, or occasionally a surfboard, and often mistaken for photography until you get close enough to see it was made by hand.
